Featured Recipe: Low Carb Snack (Keto Chips)

Because of the 4th of July Holiday, we will be featuring two recipes this week. Our first recipe was submitted by Arlena Stepp. Arlena has been experimenting with several low carb recipes, and these “Keto chips” would make a great low carb option to take as a snack for any 4th of July gathering! Thanks, Arlena..these chips look delicious!

Keto Chips

A great way to get flavor and crunch while sticking to a low carb lifestyle!  Simple, yet delicious!

Course Appetizer
Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 8 minutes
Resting time 3 minutes
Total Time 13 minutes

Ingredients

  • 6 oz Pepperoni Sliced
  • 5.25 oz Mozzarella cheese Shredded

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees

    2. Arrange pepperoni on cookie sheet in batches of four, close together.

    3. Bake for 5-6 minutes or until crispy.

    4. Sprinkle cheese on top of each pepperoni set. Bake approximately 3 minutes or until cheese is melted and appears slightly crispy. 

    5. Lay the chips on a paper towel to soak up any excess grease. Let rest for 3-4 minutes to continue crisping up. 

    6. Serve with marinara dipping sauce, or eat plain. 


Recipe Notes

You can also add vegetables to these, such as green peppers (pictured).  Crisps can also be made meatless, or with shredded Parmesan cheese in lieu of (or in addition to) mozzarella.  😊
